Dantin Bruce buys land for Waters at Bluebonnet apartments for nearly $5.6M

Dantin Bruce Development has purchased 14.3 acres of undeveloped, forested land on Bluebonnet Boulevard for more than $5.57 million, according to documents filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office.

Ross Bruce confirmed via email that the newly acquired land between Airline and Jefferson highways will be developed into The Waters at Bluebonnet, a 324-unit Class A multifamily apartment complex, which will be a joint venture between Dantin Bruce and Hammond’s Stoa Group.

“We expect to begin construction in spring 2023 and begin leasing the first units in December 2023,” he says.

ABC Storage of Baton Rouge LLC sold one tract to the developers for $1.66 million. The other transaction’s sellers were Rayford Fontenot and Mary Pennington, who received $3.91 million for their property.
